2023 Southland-Otago Dairy Trainee of the Year

Congratulations to Ann-Kristin Loferski for being named the 2023 Southland-Otago Dairy Trainee of the Year at Tuesday night’s annual Southland-Otago Dairy Industry Awards. Ann-Kristin is the Herd Manager on one of our milk supplier’s properties, 290 hectares at Heriot, milking 960 cows.

Ann-Kristin will now go on to compete for the title of New Zealand Dairy Trainee of the Year, which is held in May each year. Ann-Kristin sees herself progressing in the industry, gaining new skills and adapting to new systems while working towards farm management and, in the more distant future, 50/50 sharemilking and herd ownership.

Congratulations to runner-ups Liam Roberts and Olivia Braven, who also placed in this category.
